Ninja Theory Explains Why Hellblade II Is Only Eight Hours Long

I think what we always set out to do is to tell a story and for the game length to be appropriate for the story that we want to tell. So it's not really a case of setting out to make shorter experiences. I think it is... There is a story that we want to tell here with a beginning, middle, and end and what is the right shape and size of experience to tell that story? So that's kind of where we start.

What I would say as well though is that I think that since digital distribution has become a thing, it has opened the industry up to games of all shapes and sizes, which I think is really great. So I'm really pleased to see that there's a lot of people that actually enjoy a shorter experience, something that they can sit down on a whatever Friday night, stick their headphones on, turn the lights off and kind of sink into an experience and players who don't necessarily want something that is 50 hours long, a 100 hours long, so it's as long as it needs to be. And I'm one of those people, I like shorter games.

I think there's a lot of pressure on people's time these days and I think our fans, from what we hear from them, they enjoy a shorter game where our intention is that every step of that journey is meaningful… There's an audience of people that want games that are focused.
 
Nisi ocigledno video komentare po netu. Ljudi su ocekivali mnogo vecu igru.
Meni se svidja sto je ispod 10 sati, a posto izlazi na gamepassu ne moram da razmisljam o tome da li se isplati kupiti day 1 ili ne.
 
Ne vidim problem sa trajanjem, naprotiv, prijatno sam iznenadjen. No, ima ljudi koji koriste neko dolar po chasu merilo, pa kapiram da ima i histerichnih kada chuju da se igra mozhe pretji za 8-9 sati.
 
Kad vidim milion indikatora, questova i waypoint-a na mapi obično deinstaliram igru u roku sat vremena.
 
Mislim i ja kenjam. Dao bih 60e za neku igru koja mi se baš igra, čak i da je 8h. Npr splinter cell.
Ali većina ljudi će ovo da igra na GP ili da piratizuje, tako da ih boli uvo, ne verujem da će iko uraditi preorder.
 
Na stranu trajanje, 8h je ok, ja se samo nadam boljoj igri od keca. Jedno od meni najdosadnijih gaming iskustava, sva ta psiho papazjanija me nije radila ič, a u suštini walking simulator, gde bijes istog neprijatelja kroz celu igru.
 
Ali ovo "The VFX Director explains this in an interview with GamePro by saying that the experience should feel more "cinematic" - similar to movies that run at 24 frames per second." :LOL: Da radi u 24 fps-a rekli bi "to smo i želeli da postignemo, da igra bude k'o film." Series X ne može da izvuče ni 1080p u 30fps-a. Jezivo. :rolleyes:
 
Bitno da je epic hvalio u5 kao da ce biti super za nove konzole, kad ono jedva da mogu da ga guraju a da se ne raspadnu :D Dobro bice ps5 pro uskoro.
Za ovakvu igru 30fps jos moze da prodje doduse.
 
Unreal upscaler je poprilicno dobar, kontam da nije toliko lose kao kada se koristi nesrecni FSR2. Ja redovno pikam u DLSS performance modu koji je 1080p i na 4k to meni licno izgleda super. A ovo nije nesto puno nize.
Meni je svakako gameplay veci problem nego tehnikalije.
