"According to Circana’s Q1 2026 consumer survey, 41% of US gamers say they play on a console because of exclusive games. That is a drop of 8 percentage points on Q1 last year, but it’s still the No.1 reason people choose to play games on PlayStation, Nintendo and Xbox. The No.2 reason people choose to play on a console is because friends and family also play on it (38%)."

"According to Ampere, Marathon attracted over 2.2 million players during its launch month, with 1.1 million on PC, 660,000 on PS5 and 525,000 on Xbox."

"But the single-player results are less impressive. God of War Ragnarok attracted just 300,000 players on PC in its launch month (by comparison, its PS5/PS4 launch brought in 6.9 million players). The PC release of Spider-Man 2 saw just 260,000 players at launch. Horizon: Forbidden West hit just 230,000 players. One single-player title that performed better was Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut, which saw 710,000 monthly players when it launched."

Prebacili su PS5 hardware forecast za 1mil, ponajvise zbog velike prodaje u praznicnom kvartalu.

Priznali su deonicarima da Bungie ne vredi koliko su za njega platili, u zadnja 2 kvartala su odbili $800M te vrednosti. Forecast za sledeci FY je +30% profita jer vise nemaju Bungie isplate, ali potrosice i pare na "next-gen investments".

Prodaja hardvera ce verovatno da se bas uspori zbog povecanja cena. PS4 je u istom periodu prosle generacije bio vise nego duplo jeftiniji.

Analiticarima se ne svidja nizak forecast od 16,5M prodatih konzola u sledecoj finansijskoj godini, i mozda jos gore, nizak cilj prodaje od samo 70M igara.
Plus, najavili su da ce imati znacajne gubitke zbog povecane cene RAM-a.


“There is cause for concern here that goes beyond hardware cost issues,” said Amir Anvarzadeh of Asymmetric Advisors. “As markets ponder the fate of its hardware margins, Nintendo’s software sales — the key to its profits — are starting to notably sputter, reflecting weaker pull from its franchises.”

“Investors focus chiefly on what the summer showcase season might bring that might help shore up investor confidence,” said Bernstein analyst Robin Zhu. “Nintendo’s first-party pipeline remains the key.”

“Why would Nintendo issue guidance for declining software sales when they should be ramping up user activity in the console’s crucial second year?” Morningstar analyst Kazunori Ito said. “It’s baffling.”

Sony je +10% zbog najave veceg profita zbog vece prodaje igara, otkupa deonica od ranije zaradjenog profita, i najavljene saradnje sa TSMC-om radi pravljenja novih camera senzora.
 
Moraće… znam, sad ću sve da šokiram… da počnu da izbacuju kvalitetne Nintendo igre 😱😱😱

Prva 3 stat-a je revenue [prikupljene pare], a u zadnja 2 jesu uracunati troskovi.

"Operating income is a company's profit after deducting operating expenses and depreciation."
Ovo je income, nije profit.

Tu je verovatno Nintendo kralj jer imaju manje troškove.
Nintendo redovno ima manji profit od Sony-a jer imaju mnogo manje 3rd party softvera i F2P mikrotransakcija. Konzola i korisnici su im vise posveceni 1st party softveru.

Mala ispravka, software forecast za FY godinu je 165m (ne 70m), od toga 105m S1 igara i 60m S2 igara.
Takođe 16.5m konzola u jednoj godini se nikako ne može nazvati niskom brojkom, to je i dalje prilično jaka cifra.

Problem je što je to pad od skoro 3.5m u odnosu na veoma jaku launch godinu, plus rast troškova proizvodnje (priznanje Nintenda da čak i ovo povećanje ne pokriva ceo rast troškova) i očekivan pad profitabilnosti, su uticali na pad akcija.

Odlicne pare za igru koja je izbacena u krsh stanju, valjda iskoriste nesto para da je oprave...
