Final Fantasy XVI Uses a Creative Business Unit III Developed Engine; Luminous Engine Was Ruled out Early On

As for why the team didn't go with the Unreal Engine, Naoki Yoshida didn't say. Ako se ne varam dosta JPN timova ne koristi UE iz nekog razloga

Speaking to Push Square in a recent interview, Square Enix producer Naoki Yoshida revealed that the Eikon battles where two summoned monsters face each other in a fighting game-like style had been inspired by the original God of War games

When Final Fantasy XVI launches, people might not also need to download a day one patch for it. Game Informer learned from Director Hiroshi Takai that one isn’t planned for the RPG. While things could change closer to its June 2023 debut, it might not end up being necessary. Game Informer also learned from Takai and Producer Naoki Yoshida that the team isn’t working on Final Fantasy XVI DLC yet. Yoshida noted, “First we want to see if Valisthea and Clive are really things players around the world want to see more of and then make that decision.” [Thanks, Game Informer!]

When Takai spoke to Game Informer’s Wesley LeBlanc, he noted that Creative Business Unit III continually conducted Q&A play sessions. As a result, he noted that the team feels the game may not require a patch right away.

As for the Final Fantasy XVI DLC possibility, while Yoshida made a statement to the outlet that “we always want to consider DLC,” he also noted, “it’s a one-off game.”

FF7R je verujem uverio dosta japanskih timova da je vreme da penzionisu svoj stari matori tech.

Jos da neko to javi FROM Software-u. :D Sony im je manjinski vlasnik, mozda im jednog dana donesu source code Decime na USB sticku, kao sto su to uradili sa Kojimom.

Imaju custom devkit-ove sa paralelnim portovima i ISA karticama.

Final Fantasy XVI Targets 60 FPS in Performance Mode, but Combat Will Be Better Optimized

Speaking with GNN during the recent press tour, as reported and translated by Reddit user Kanon14, director Hiroshi Takai commented on the performance swings seen in footage captured in the game's performance mode, saying that this display mode will always target 60 frames per second, but may not hold the target framerate during exploration, depending on particular circumstances. On the other hand, the team spent a lot of time tweaking the combat, which allowed them to better optimize the visuals while fighting enemies, and thus keep the framerate more steady, adding that they could tweak visual elements like lighting and shadows further as the player's attention during the game's intense combat encounters will not be focused on the graphics.Despite the Final Fantasy XVI performance mode not being able to always keep a steady 60 frames per second framerate during exploration, this doesn't mean that things won't be improved after launch, as Hiroshi Takai did say that they might address the issue in future patches

During the same interview, the Final Fantasy XVI director also commented on the game's sidequests, saying that they will have varying lengths and may involve multiple steps that tell a continuous story. While each side quest will provide rewards, the main reason players should complete them is to learn more about the world of Valisthea. Takai made the example of a sidequest that unlocks Chocobo riding as a reward while providing information on why Chocobos can be ridden in Valisthea

I bring this up because I had heard recently that Square Enix is panicking slightly over Final Fantasy XVI preorder numbers, which are tracking behind FFXV even accounting for the lesser number of launching platforms. Granted, those are pre-order numbers and they're usually only useful to gauge guaranteed day-one sales (versus potential day-one sales), so the actual number could blow everyone away. But with the current tracking, I wonder if they want to remind people the next chapter of Final Fantasy VII's remake trilogy exists and give it more marketing time than they had planned.

The initial sales of Remake were quite good, but it slowed down faster than Square Enix seemed to expect, so I imagine they really want Rebirth to sell as well as possible. Well, of course they do, but I imagine they're really, really hoping for an uptick in sales.

Šta su očekivali za 3rd party ekskluzivu koja košta $70?

demo launches June 12.

The demo will give PlayStation 5 players a taste of the game’s vibrant world and fast-paced action combat with two lengthy sections showcasing what you can expect from FFXVI. The first is the game’s opening prologue, approximately a two and half hour slice of gameplay giving players insight into Clive Rosfield’s past and the events that set him on his present day journey. Save data from this portion can be carried over to the main game when it launches next week.

Completing the prologue then unlocks a special battle demo, approximately a two-hour, action-heavy segment. This features an infiltration of a fort at night, with Clive supported on his mission by his faithful wolf Torgal and Cidolfus Telamon. You’ll encounter various enemies and epic bosses. While you won’t be able to save your progress in this segment of the demo, it will let you test out the fuller range of combat options by way of numerous unlocked abilities and accessories. This can be replayed as many times as you’d like
