Here are all of the classes in Battlefield 6, along with a breakdown of the weapons and gadgets designed for each one.
Assault Class
- Signature Gadget (Adrenaline Injector): A powerful self-administered stimulant to enhance fighting capability. Temporarily boosts sprint speed and reduces explosive damage. Provides resistance to debuffs and makes enemy footsteps easier to hear.
- Signature Weapon (Assault Rifle): Faster draw and switch times, plus better sprint recovery.
- Signature Trait (Soft Landing): Reduced fall damage and no movement speed penalty after falling.
Engineer Class
- Signature Gadget (Repair Tool): A blow torch to repair friendly vehicles and equipment. Can also damage enemy assets. Extended use will temporarily overheat the tool.
- Signature Weapon (SMG): Improved hip-fire control.
- Signature Trait (Flak Jacket): Decreased Damage taken from explosives
Support Class
- Signature Gadget (Supply Bag): A deployable bag that resupplies all nearby infantry with ammo for gadgets and weapons and regenerates health more efficiently, even when under fire.
- Signature Weapon (LMG): No sprint speed penalty.
- Signature Trait (Quick Revive): Faster drag and stationary revives. (+20% speed, -0.5 second duration)
Recon Class
- Signature Gadget (Motion Sensor): This device detects and displays the position of nearby moving enemies, vehicles, and gadgets on team members’ minimaps. Enemy infantry can remain undetected while moving in crouch or prone. The device emits a sound audible to hostiles.
- Signature Weapon (Sniper): Stabilize aim by holding breath and rechamber quicker between shots.
- Signature Trait (Auto Spot): Looking at hostiles while in ADS marks them as spotted.
We’ve listed all of the confirmed game modes in Battlefield 6 below, including some details on what to expect.
Conquest
Long established as the “main” game mode of the series, Conquest takes place on large maps with battles over various control points. To win, a team must reduce the enemy’s number of reinforcements tickets to zero, or have a larger number of tickets remaining at the end of the round.
Breakthrough
Each map is divided into sectors, with a defending team protecting the points while the attacking team looks to take control. All objectives in a sector must be controlled simultaneously for the attacking team to advance, while the defending team wins if they reduce the attacker’s reinforcement tickets to zero and prevent the takeover of the points.
Rush
Teams are split into an attacking and defending side, with attackers looking to destroy objectives. Similarly to Breakthrough, defenders must protect the points and win by succeeding in that goal, while reducing the attacking team’s reinforcement tickets to zero.
Team Deathmatch
A staple of the FPS genre, Team Deathmatch pits two teams against each other with the only goal being to secure eliminations of enemies. First team to reach the target score wins.
Squad Deathmatch
Similar to Team Deathmatch, with a focus on eliminations and reaching a target score, the difference is four teams instead of two.
King of the Hill
Two teams compete for an objective, earning points for occupying the zone. Depending on the map, the objective may be stationary or rotate around the map. Ends when a target score is reached, or if the time limit expires.
Escalation
A brand-new mode for Battlefield 6, two teams fight to capture strategic control points with a climactic final battle to end the match.
Battle Royale
Another mode that has become a staple in the FPS genre, Battle Royale in Battlefield 6 is a free-to-play, last-man-standing experience. The mode features a traditional experience and a Gauntlet mode, though details on the latter have not been shared.
