Valisthea―A Land Blessed in the Light of the Mothercrystals​

The land of Valisthea is studded with Mothercrystals—glittering mountains of crystal that tower over the realms around them, blessing them with aether. For generations, people have flocked to these beacons to take advantage of their blessing, using the aether to conjure magicks that let them live lives of comfort and plenty. Great powers have grown up around each Mothercrystal, and an uneasy peace has long reigned between them. Yet now the peace falters as the spread of the Blight threatens to destroy their dominions.

Eikons and Their Dominants​

The Eikons are the most powerful and deadly creatures in Valisthea. Each resides within a Dominant—a single man or woman who is blessed with the ability to call upon their dread power. In some nations these Dominants are treated as royalty in admiration of this strength—in others they are bound in fear of it, and forced to serve as weapons of war. Those who are born as Dominants cannot escape their fate, however cruel it may be.

Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida interviews​

  • Protagonist Clive has an arsenal of powerful attacks and abilities based off traditional Final Fantasy summons, which can be cycled through in real-time, enabling powerful combination attacks. After Clive claims an Eikon’s (summon’s) power, he will be able to unlock its abilities in an “ability tree” through points earned in battle.
  • There will be times where the player controls an Eikon in real-time, battling other Eikons. Each Eikon vs. Eikon battle is unique. One may be reminiscent of a 3D shooter, while another may be more like a pro wrestling match, while a third may transform the entire arena into a battle field. Each will have slight differences in user interface as well.
  • Clive will be accompanied by one or more companions for most of his journey, who will participate in battle, as well as banter with Clive. These party members will be AI-controlled.
  • The wolf-pup from the first trailer is named Torgal. As for whether Torgal will eventually play a role in combat, Yoshida said to “wait and see.”
  • Creative Business Unit III chose a medieval fantasy style theme for Final Fantasy XVI becasue much of its core members, including Yoshida, simply enjoyed that style the most.
  • The game uses an “independent area-based game design that can give players a better feel of a truly ‘global’ scale,” and is not open-world.
  • The game will be “a complete experience” at launch, and there are currently no plans for other tertiary content.
  • Players will follow the life of Clive through three stages: his teens, his 20s, and his 30s.
  • Final Fantasy XVI is currently fully playable from start to finish, but voice-overs in multiple languages still need to be recorded, and as it is a very action-oriented game, much play testing is required to fine-tune difficulty, put the final touches on cutscenes, and for full-scale debugging.
  • A third trailer is planned for release this fall, which will concentrate more on the world, lore, and storyline.

Kad bude nekih dodatnih informacija kao sto su preorder i datum izlaska igre ja cu update prvi post :) ako neko zeli da izmeni nesto i dopuni slobodno moze.
 
Igrace se ovo sigurno kao i svaki FF do sada. Mada nisam nesto nahajpovan. Previse mi ovo lici na zapadne RPG-eve. Volim ja i WERG ali FF treba da bude perjanica JRPG zanra a ovo me vise podseca na Witchera negeo na igre iz zlatnog doba FF-a.

Zato vise iscekujem nastavak sedmice. Prvi deo je najbolji FF u poslednjih 20 godina.
 
A meni bas odgovara sto nece biti party-fest vec solo DMC-like akcija u srenjovekovnom fantasy okruzenju. FF se uvek menja sa svakim nastavkom, treba dati sansu i ovome.

Final Fantasy XVI Producer Says Realistic Graphics and Turn-Based Combat Don’t Fit


But one thing that we found recently is that as graphics get better and better, and as characters become more realistic and more photo-real, is that the combination of that realism with the very unreal sense of turn-based commands doesn't really fit together. You have this kind of strange gap that emerges. Some people are fine with it. They're fine with having these realistic characters in this unreal type of system. But then, on the other hand, there are people that just can't get over it. I mean, if you have a character holding a gun, why can't you just press the button to have the gunfire – why do you need a command in there? And so it becomes a question of not right or wrong, but it becomes a question of preferences for each different player.

When asked to create Final Fantasy XVI by the higher-ups in the company, one of their orders was to fully maximize the use of the technology. And so when making that decision, we thought that the direction of taking in that full action was the way to do that. And when deciding whether, 'okay, are we going to go turn-based or are going to go action?' I made the decision to go action.

A imam u planu cetvorku, ona mi nekako deluje zabavna i secam se da je nahvaljena kao jedan od najboljih.
